We are heading to Orpierre in the south of France for our autumn hot rock trip from Saturday 30th September to Sunday 8th October. Orpierre is a bit of a climbing mecca with more than enough to go at on the crags above the village to keep you busy for weeks. The campsite is next to the village and within walking distance of the crags so there is no need to even get in the car to go climbing. There is also a via ferrata just outside the village. If the climbing at Orpierre isn't enough for you then Chateauneuf de Chabre and Sisteron are within a 30 minute drive.
This is a self serve meet, i.e. club members group together and make their own travel/accommodation arrangements. We are staying at Camping Les Noyers which is a climber friendly campsite in Orpierre. Book your place directly with the camp, it's only 90 euros for 7 nights camping for a tent and two people.
We have a dedicated 'Hot rock 2023' WhatsApp group which you can request to join to find fellow club members to team up with for transport/accommodation.

It's only 4 weeks until our summer gathering in The Peak District (Saturday 17th June). The plan is to go climbing (or cycling or walking if you prefer) on Saturday during the day. Then head to Graham and Yvonne's house near Bamford in the late afternoon for a BBQ with the option to stay-over for those that want to make a weekend of it. Book your places now via the club website.
