Michelle and Haydn have put together a great plan for this year's Mountain Biking meet from the 12-14th August 2022. We’ll be staying at the Llwyn yr Helm Caravan and Camping Park which has beautiful views over Cadar Idris, good facilities and is just a few minutes drive to the Coed-y-Brenin Trail centre.

You'll need to book your own pitch on the ‘Summer Camping Field’ which also takes camper vans (but not big motor homes). If you need an electric hook up, you’ll need to be on the main site over the road. You can only book into the Summer Camping Field by phone (01341 450254) or email (info@llwynyrhelm.co.uk). It’s £27 per night per ‘unit’ (one tent plus car or a camper van plus 2 adults). We’ve got access to a bike lock up (2 bikes) for the duration of the stay. We can book another if people want to. We’ve booked a table at the Cross Foxes Pub (5 minutes drive) for Saturday evening 19.00.

Coed-yr-Brenin has a multitude of different waymarked trailed to suit all abilities set in stunning scenery. Haydn has kindly volunteered to lead a ride on the Saturday (roughly 25-30 miles with 1000+ metres ascent). This will be quite technical and require a good level of fitness. We’ll most likely stay in the area on Sunday for a second ride which may or may not be at the trail centre.

If you’re not into mountain biking, its the perfect location for walking, running, heading to the sea... so come anyway!
