We have a unique opportunity to spend the Whitsun bank holiday at the Fell and Rock Climbing Club (FRCC) hut Brackenclose in Wasdale, Lake District. The FRCC club are trialling letting other climbing clubs use their huts and they've agreed to let us have 12 spaces in the hut for the bank holiday weekend. The FRCC's Brackenclose hut is perfectly located for classic Lakeland climbing and walking. The high crags and tops of the Scafells, Great Gable and Pillar are all within striking distance for both climbing and walking. When these are out of condition, Buckbarrow and Wallabarrow in Dunnerdale provide good sport for climbers and walkers can explore the lower tops and side valleys.
