I've some sad news to pass on. Roger Hawkins, who used to be a Bowline Member, passed away early in February. Roger was active in the club in the 90's as a climber, walker and cyclist.
Roger decided not to have a funeral so there are no details to pass on.
Chris Brumby has put together some reminiscences, which are attached, of Roger's time in the club and memories of walking holidays in the UK and the Picos de Europa in Spain.

Hi All,
Now that the Government has published a Roadmap we are in the process of organising the Club Meets for 2021.
But we realise that people may have different views on how comfortble they feel at staying at campsites or huts/bunkhouses.
So to gauge people's opinions we've put together a short survey asking what people feel about going on Group Camping Meets and Group Meets at another Club's Hut/Bunkhouse. There's also a question where you can tell us what sort of meets / venues you like to go to and any other suggestions that you feel would be helpful.

Join us on Wednesday 24th February at 8pm when club member Liz Morrision will be giving us a whistle stop tour of the Butterfly Conservation led project in the Rockingham Forest. Tasked with bringing the Chequered Skipper butterfly back to England 4 decades after it was declared extinct; the project also set out to improve a network of woodlands and wildlife sites for a host of other species including adder, rare plants, birds and bats.
The talk will be given via Zoom and the joining details will be sent to club members via email.

Hi All,
Sorry to intrude, we are in the process of sorting out Club Membership Payments. We've temporarily lost the ability to log into our HSBC account, hopefully this can be sorted out soon. Although we've asked Membership Payments to be made to our Lloyds Account, PayPal or by cheque it's easy to overlook the details of the bank account details of the club, so it's possible that some of you may have paid the membership to the HSBC account.
I have blind emailed all those of you we have received a membership payment in FEBRUARY. If you have renewed your membership in FEBRUARY ONLY and you have NOT received an Email can you contact me and we can check what has happened to see if you may have paid into the HSBC account.

Hi all,
Just a quick reminder to everyone, we need to upload your membership details to the BMC by the 12th February for you to be able to get the next edition of the Summit Magazine. So if you've not got round to renewing your club membership yet could you do that by close of play Wednesday please. You can still renew after that date, but you won't get the next edition of the Summit Mag.
